Tettenhall College Sixth Form Information & Careers Event

At Tettenhall College we place a great emphasis on ensuring all students in our Sixth Form receive the very best preparation for their onward steps and future careers. A full and carefully prepared programme of individualised support is delivered to each student, including university application coaching, career option mentoring, work experience, personal development skills, academic enrichment and much more. This ensures that our Sixth Formers are some of the highest performing in the country and we are very proud of their achievements.

There are countless examples of Old Tettenhallians, who have stepped forward from their time in our Sixth Form, to excellent universities, professional training and who are now forging successful careers and businesses, in a whole range of different areas. Whether they be doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, musicians, artists, psychologists, teachers or one of the many other examples, so many OTs talk about the preparation that Tettenhall College gave them.

On Thursday 17th February, we are holding a Sixth Form Information and Careers event and all Year 11 pupils and their parents, who are considering their next steps for Year 12, are warmly invited to attend.

Along with the Sixth Form information, there will also be chance to learn more about the range of scholarship opportunities that we are offering for entry in September 2022, which often come with a notable fee remission or an opportunity to board as part of the award.

The event begins at 4.30pm with afternoon tea and refreshments in the College library.

This will then be followed by a programme of talks and panel discussions, with recent OTs taking part to share their experiences with our current students. Our subject specialists will be available to talk to pupils about the options available to them in Sixth Form, and more information will also be shared about our Scholarship Programme, the Enrichment Programme, and our Sixth Form Pathways.

If you are able to attend, or if students at your school would like to come along, please contact admissions@tettcoll.co.uk to confirm your place.

NCATI Open Evening

NCATI Open Evening

National College for Advanced Transport & Infrastructure (NCATI) – February Open Evening

Young people who are making decisions on their next steps after school are invited to attend our Open Evening which is taking place next week.

Set up to provide the specialist training, skills and qualifications required to deliver major engineering and infrastructure projects such as HS2, the National College gives talented young people a clear route to employment, with our learners going on to careers in civil and systems engineering, as well as project management and digital design.

HS2 apprenticeship vacancies

Our apprenticeships with HS2 are a great way to start a career in engineering, as they offer talented young people an opportunity to work on a world-leading engineering project, learning from the best and earning while they learn – and recruitment to these apprenticeships starts next week!

We are holding an Open Evening at our Birmingham campus on 10 February, 16:30 – 19:30, where students can talk to our employer partners from HS2 about their apprenticeships and sign up to the vacancies.

Full-time courses

In addition to apprenticeships, we also offer a range of full-time courses. We are currently recruiting Year 11 students onto our brand-new school leaver courses for 16-18 year olds, starting in September 2022. Ranging from business management to construction, these vocational courses are set up as an alternative to A-Levels that better prepare young learners for a specialist and in-demand career in engineering.

Our Open Evening

Our Open Evening is a brilliant opportunity for prospective learners to speak to staff and current learners about our apprenticeships, full-time courses and future job opportunities. We encourage you to sign up to the event by scanning the QR code or following this link.
